What is Charcuterie?
Charcuterie is a French term for a branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products. Often people pair their cured meats with gourmet cheeses, pickled vegetables, sweet jellies, a strong mustard, and different fresh berries. The joy about charcuterie is there really is no wrong way to prepare it, everyone’s boards are unique to their own taste buds.
A charcuterie board is essentially a display for all those aforementioned favorite foods. The art of charcuterie is so much more though, it’s the practice of bringing people together through food and dining, and displaying food in a creative way.
