Curly Maple with Intricate Pattern Heirloom Box
I absolutely love making boxes! I search high and low, hand select, and even order specialty pieces of wood all the way from Toronto, just to make these absolutely killer one of a kind Heirloom boxes. You can’t just make a box out of any old piece of hardwood, it has to be something spectacular and stunning.
This box is made from highly figured curly hard Maple, the angle Pattern is padauk, wenge, Black limba and Maple, and the dark strips are also wenge.
Both the lid and the bottom base are made of 3/16 thick hard Maple, which makes these boxes very lightweight. Every single piece of maple(interior and exterior) is from the same piece of Curly hard Maple, giving this box an incredible uniform look. The box is finished with brass modern accessories.
